A Little History...

Norfolk Schools in Malawi was founded in 2015 by Dr. Joe Mtika.  Dr. Mtika, a native Malawian, currently resides in the United States and is very happy to be fulfilling his vision of providing a college-prepatory education to the children living in Blantyre.  Norfolk Schools in Malawi follows an American curriculum and aims to prepare your child to attend University in the United States.

Dr. Mtika has worked tirelessly to build relationships between Blantyre and his home city of Norfolk, Nebraska gaining partnership with Northeast Community College, Wayne State College, Norfolk Public Schools, Christ Lutheran Schools, as well as creating a sister-city partnership between Mayor Wild Ndipo of Blantyre and Mayor Josh Moenning of Norfolk.

Norfolk Schools in Malawi currently serves students in grades 6-12 but hopes to expand in the future.  NSM is planning to introduce kindergarten starting soon. Your child will take ACT test.  After successful completion of these tests, your child will be prepared to attend university in the United States.  Norfolk Schools in Malawi seeks to educate and develop the whole child and will attend to the spiritual needs of the child through weekly Chapel and Bible studies.  Extracurricular activities such as football, netball, swimming, art, music, track and field, and other activities will be offered as resources and staff are available.
